Mianshan is one of the highlights nearby Pingyao, which is 60km far away from Pingyao. It will spend 1 hour driving from Pingyao. It consists of historical buildings and naturel sights. You would need about 6 hours to see the main sights: Dragon Head Temple, Daluo Palce, Sky Bridge, Yunfeng Temple, Qixiang Canyon and hiking in Shuitao valley.
Itinerary of Mianshan Tour from Pingyao
Guide and driver will meet you at your hotel lobby at 08:30, drive to Mianshan, guide will help you get the entrance tickets and mountain bus tickets. Then up to mountain by mountain bus.
Pingyao guide will show you to visit the following highlights. you also can take some sights off if you not like, and tell the Pingyao guide which sights you would like to visit at Mianshan. For example, if you are like to hike, the Shuitao valley is the best choice. one way is nearly 5 km, just hike along the stream, to see the waterfall, and take deep breath in the valley and nice pictures.
If you don’t like climbing the step, just take elevator or cable car, just let your Pingayo guide know.

Then take the bus down to tourist center, and drive back to Pingyao or drop off you at Pingyaogucheng station to take the train to Beijing. We suggest to book the train after 17:00. If your train before the 17:00, we can start earlier than 08:30am.
