Shanxi noodle is very famous, people really like the noodles, whatever with the sauce or fried, hot or cold, sweet or salty. If you are in Shanxi, you will see most of them, have noodle for their lunch or dinner, even for breakfast.
Without meat is ok for them, but without noodle is not ok. If the Shanxi people would not have a noodle for one week, they will get thin, and want to go home. or try to cook the noodle by themself.
So Shanxi people are really like to eat. They hav many differrent style noodles.
After Pingyao Tour, if the guest have time and they would like to making the noodle, we will arrange the noodle making class for them.
28th of June 2021, we finished the Pingyao tour and have around 2 hours before get to the train to Datong. The guest with their children to make the noodles, we don’t use any tool, just water, flour, and rolling pin. Because of the girl are too young, we don‘t let them use the knife. Just their hands.
Anyway, they did very good job, have look the following pictures. They really enjoyed it.

We provide the dry flour, water, basin, rolling pin, plate, chopping board and teacher.
We taught them how to make the dough, not too soft, not too hard, so we can use this dough to make many different kinds of noodles.
They made the noodle very well, so the cook to cook the noodle for them and bring away. It is very nice to eat the noodle, they cooked themself.
