drive to the Mianshan after breakfast, it is nice day with blue sky, you need the nice weather to visit the Mianshan. But the rainy day is also good, becasue of different weather different view and different beauty. About 1 hour driving from Pingyao by toll road, Changed the mountain bus upon arrive in Mianshan. and visit the hightlights one by one by mountain bus, if you like your taxi up, it is possible but need to pay more for the driving and driver’s ticktes fee nearly 300yuan for the 5 seats car.
We stop at the dragon head temple first, becasue of we want to start from the begaining to the end then take the bus down to the toursits, if you visit this temple at the end, you will not have a seat dwon to the tourist. I always start from the begaining. Another reason that is the last stop is just nature beauty, can visit it by selections. and keep the main time and energy to visit the historial sights first, there are many climbing. Please take the enough water.
Second stop is Daluo Palace, it is not worth to climb, so we just have a short stop and head to sky bridge. You shold climb up to see and take the pictures, it is amzing sights, someone called it hanging temple.
You can have a lunch at the Yunfenshuyuan, then use their elevator to the Temple of Yunfeng Temple. It is the quite good choice. There are several monks in this temple, sometimes you can hear the chanting from them. It is buddha temple.
The Qixian Canyon is nice and fun sights, but it is dangerous. don’t suggest the senior tourist to do it and also the kids. See the pictures below.
Last stop is Shuitao vally, you can do a little bit, if you are not the big hiker. because of it is nearly 8km one way, and all same view. My guests used the cable car up to the top of the mountain at Dragon Head Temple, and I decide to walk down, and we take the nice picturess. Actually we have to say it is good idea to walk down than by cable car for taking the pictures.
On the way back to Pingyao, we just pass the Zhangbi underground castle which is the sighst for next day, actully we finished Mianshan visiting earlier. so we stop at Zhangbi to visit. Walk through the tunnel, and the village, it is not much attraction for the guests, the company moved the farmer away and want to set this sights to be film center, tourist village, change the farmer house to the boutique hotel and restaurants.
After one hour, we back to Pingyao, stay at Pingayo .
